About

My story starts in 2002 after an awakening that was brought on by a paragliding accident. Receiving much body trauma and undergoing surgery with a lengthy recovery time I reflected on the person I had become and how I was going to heal. Slowly the physical healing expanded into more subtle levels of healing and my journey took me to various physiotherapists, to energy workers and to psychic healers. Which in turn led me to an introduction to the concept of energy healing. At the time I wasn’t sure what to make of it but trusted enough of this thirst I had to learn as much as I could – and by 2005 I had studied energy healing systems with two teachers, traveled to Peru to experience my first plant medicine experience and completed a yoga teachers training course in India. I felt that I was on the road to recovery.

My life deepened considerably in 2008 when I was introduced to a family in Brazil following the Red Path – and it was here where I signed up for a course of 4 Vision Quests – a process of solitude in nature as a rite of passage. And the Sun Dance – a ceremony of life originally found in ancient cultures. And with these ceremonies my healing continued as I remembered how to celebrate life. By 2013 I was given the blessing to pour the sweat lodge (Temazcal) by my elders, and I started running the sweat lodge in Cape Town that year.

Another huge initiation came in 2019 with the birth of my son, Nathan. So much gratitude for this opportunity. My travel plans were put on hold as I went through this time deepening my practice as a healer and space holder within my community. Finally the break came in 2025 to travel back to Brazil to attend the Sun Dance. In 2026 I received the medicine blessing as an elder within the tradition – one that I am very honoured to walk with – as an ambassador and student of the path.

I continue to offer these ceremonies in a sacred way, for the purpose of healing and honouring all of life.
